Meet The Vets
Dr Robert Zammit
Position: Veterinarian
Qualifications: BVSc
Since venturing into the practice by himself in 1980, Robert has turned Vineyard Veterinary Hospital into one of the most well known and admired practices of the area. Rob has dedicated his life to not only caring for animals but also teaching others to enjoy that similar passion. Known for his media work in such programs as A Country Practice, Burkes Backyard and 2GB, Dr Zammit’s first love is veterinary science with a special interest in small animal reproduction work. He lives on the premises with his family, including the numerous pets roaming around.
Dr Erin Kefford
Position: Veterinarian
Qualifications: BVSc (hons)

Erin has been a veterinarian at Vineyard Veterinary Hospital for 3 years since graduating with honours in 2007. Her passion to work with animals started from a very young age and is now thriving working alongside the things she loves most. She has a strong interest in surgery and emergency medicine, and has just recently completed continuing education workshops on both abdominal ultrasonography and orthopedic surgeries. Erin lives with her partner, 2 crazy dogs, and one very temperamental cat on property in Ebenezer. She is also a vet assessor for Velma’s Pets as Therapy.
Dr Prue Bellamy
Position: Veterinarian
Qualifications: BVSc
Prue graduated from the University of Sydney in 2009 and since then, hasn’t looked back. She brought with her to Vineyard Vet Hospital an impressive veterinary knowledge and a contagious, bubbly, friendly personality. She has a keen interest in soft tissue surgery and small animal medicine and is always attending courses to keep abreast of all current therapies. Prue is recently married and hopes the backyard in their newly bought house will be big enough for many rescue dogs!!!!
Dr Kelly Zammit
Position: Veterinarian
Qualifications: BVSc
Kelly graduated with honours in marine biology before delving down a new career path and studying her true passion, to be a veterinarian. Kelly works part-time in the clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays whilst she does a fantastic but challenging job to juggle family life, including the 2 dogs and 2 cats, with work. Kelly is married and has a beautiful daughter, with another baby not too far away!!

Nurses
Brooke Reed
Position: Veterinary Nurse
Qualifications: Certificate 4 Veterinary Nursing
Brooke has been here at Vineyard Veterinary Hospital for what seems like an eternity. She has dedicated her life to a job in helping animals and we are very lucky to have such a lovely and knowledgeable staff member on board. She is also responsible for the organization and loveable, fun ideas of her puppy classes which she holds here at the clinic every week. Brooke is married with a gorgeous toddler called Nicholas.
Ann Hoogenboom
Position: Veterinary Nurse
Ann’s love of animals prompted her to become an animal attendant here six years ago and has consequently developed into a very skilled veterinary nurse. Her dedication to work is outstanding and gives the animals 110% care and attention. She is just about to complete her Veterinary Nursing Certificate 4 which will complete the package in being a great all round veterinary nurse.
Laura Northover
Position: Veterinary Nurse
Laura started at Vineyard Veterinary Hospital four years ago, helping out on the weekends. This soon developed into a great passion for animals and a love for the job, that she commenced work here full time. Laura enjoys doing agility training with her dogs and anticipates to enter into competitions very soon. You will also see Laura floating around in some of the puppy preschool classes. Her many years of agility experience with her own dogs makes her an invaluable asset to have in our puppy classes.
Krystal Smith
Position: Veterinary Nurse
Qualifications: Certificate 4 Veterinary Nursing
Krystal worked as a veterinary nurse for three years before joining our team at Vineyard. She has been working here for over 2 years and has brought a wealth of experience in veterinary nursing with her. Krystal has just been recently married and will start their lives together whilst continuing to look after and spoil rotten, their many four legged friends.
Kirsten Turner
Position: Veterinary Nurse
Kirsten has loved animals ever since she can remember and has just recently adopted a gorgeous golden retriever puppy called Armani. If a new puppy isn’t enough to keep her hands full, she admits she is a self-proclaimed horse fanatic and loves spending every spare minute riding her horses and training them for showing and dressage events.
Jenny Griffith
Position: Practice Manager
Jenny has been at the clinic for “too long ago to remember” as she puts it, and whilst being the practice manager, plays just as important a role as the unofficial mum to all the staff!!! Her bubbly personality and chatty nature makes sure all clients are made very welcome. She is the behind the scenes force of the practice and is in control of making everything run smoothly.
